ALON LEVIN, 1975
Lives and works in Berlin and Den Haag
Alon Levin (b. 1975, Israel) currently lives and works in Berlin and Den Haag. He studied in Amsterdam at the Gerrit
Rietveld Academie (1998–2002) and did a residency at the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten (2005–2006). In 2008 he
was a resident artist at ISCP New York, and in the following year he was a visiting artist at the sculpture program at State
University New York, New Paltz. Levin was nominated to the Prix de Rome Prize in Amsterdam in 2007 and was shortlisted
for the Cartier Award of the Frieze Foundation in London in 2008. He recently shown at CCS Bard, Annandale-on-Hudson,
New York; Kunsthalle Basel, Basel; CAC Vilnius, Vilnius; The David Roberts Art Foundation, London; De Appel,
Amsterdam; and HVCCA, Peekskill, New York. Alon Levin is represented by KLEMM’s, Berlin and AMBACH & RICE,
Seattle. He has been a lecturer at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam since 2007.
